The ideal salt level is between 2700-3400 ppm (parts per million) with 3200 ppm being optimal. Before adding salt to your pool, test the water with our Pool salt test strips to check your salt level.

With appropriate salt levels, you can rest assured that your salt generator will be able to produce the correct amount of chlorine to keep water clean and free of contaminants. For a clean and healthy pool, test the water at each end a minimum of twice a week!
